Polylithic Tools Hub
Tick boxes. Mark shortages. Leave the plains with a plan.
Guides teach. Tools remember. Polylithic punishes the night you “just quickly” chase a mammoth without a bed, a stack of stalk, or a second pair of hands. This hub holds two interactive helpers that stay in your browser: a first-day survival checklist and a gathering planner. Use them while the guides hub stays open in another tab.
The checklist is for the opening hours after the dream tutorial. It does not replace getting started. It stops you from lighting a perfect fire and then wandering until a crash proves you never placed a bed. Tick flint, fire, food, hut, save, and the first recruit only when those things exist in the world, not when you meant to do them.
The planner is for the midgame tax. Stalk, rocks, hide, clay, and sinew disappear into recipes you already forgot. Mark what the next workstation still needs before you walk a river for ochre you do not use yet. Pair it with the items list and the tech tree so the ticks match a real unlock, not a vibe.
How these tools stay honest
They are not official companions and they do not read your save file. Progress is local to this browser. If you switch PCs, the boxes go empty, which is fine. The point is the current evening, not a cloud profile. Reset when a world dies or when 1.0 patches change a recipe enough that yesterday’s marks would lie.
Do not treat a green checklist as a skill issue solved. A ticked “recruit” still needs happiness, food, and an elder interaction. A ticked “bow” still needs you to stop throwing the last javelin into fog. When a box is hard to tick, open the matching article: controls for saving, cooking for food, villagers for labor, hunting for meat that is not berries.
When not to use a tool
If you have not bought the game, skip this hub and read the review plus system requirements. If you are five hours into sandbox and already have a stove, you do not need the first-day list. You might still want the planner the moment someone says “we can finish the grindstone tonight.”
Co-op groups should appoint one person to run the planner out loud. Four people gathering “whatever” is how you end up with twelve twigs and no string. The co-op guide explains the social version of the same idea.
Use the tools when your brain is full of low-poly sunsets. The plains are pretty. The checklist is why you still have a camp in the morning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do the Polylithic tools need an account?
No. Checks save in this browser only. They never touch your Steam save in AppData.
Which tool should a new player open?
The survival checklist for night one. The gathering planner once you are hunting specific recipes.
Are the lists updated for 1.0?
Yes. They follow the 25 August 2026 release loop: flint in inventory, hut beds, generated cooking, and tribe work that still needs a human backup.
Can I use these in co-op?
Yes. One player should call the planner so the group does not all grab twigs. See how to play co-op.
